Andros Maritime Museum is a must.
At the edge of the Chora peninsula, just before the Afanis Naftis statue in Riva’s square, is the Maritime Museum. It was founded in 1972, with Nick. Goulandri family donation. The initial classification of the exhibits was made by Mathios Stylianidis, while the final classification was by Konstantinos Pantzopoulos, captain of the Hellenic Navy. Its exhibits reveal the rich history of the shipping of Andros, with charters, contracts, maritime events calendar and diaries, lithographs, photographs and models of Andriot ships.
