Fellos Beach is a large sandy beach in northwestern Andros just 4 km from the port of Gavrio. Within the homonymous bay, access to it is very easy. The asphalt road reaches the sea. Fellos beach is ideal for swimming, beach games, and relaxation under its characteristic tamarisk trees.
Route to Fellos beach
Fellos beach can be found as it heads northwest of the island immediately after the homonymous village. The distance from the capital Chora is about 38 km however it is worth visiting. It is very easy to reach with the asphalt road reaching the beach. For those vacationers who live in the area of Gavrio or Batsi, the choice of this beach in terms of accessibility is excellent. Passing Gavrio and in the opposite direction to Batsi and Chora, you ascend to the most sparsely populated part of Andros, the north.
Overlooking Kavo Doro and just three kilometers after the main port of the island you will see the junction to the village of Fellos and the beach of your destination. There you turn left and after a few meters in the winding alley from the hill to the sea, you will see the beautiful Fellos beach. There, between the low hills is the beautiful sandy beach.
Games, fishing and food
Our experience from a visit to Fellos beach can be summarized with the following phrases. Easy access – crystal clear waters – games under the sun and the shady tamarisks. Fellos beach is also suitable for fishing. There are two other small beaches nearby, isolated and inaccessible by land, Selki beach, and Kourtali beach. Finally, the tavern To Steki tou Andrea is located just a few meters from the beach, welcoming the hungry vacationers.
