The artist Christos Efstathiou’s works pose key questions and concerns to the viewer. Art attracted him from the first moment he perceived the world. In primary school his games were creative: he took small pieces of wood – from his grandfather’s carpentry shop in Chora – and stones and he was creating little houses and whole villages with squares and steps!
His creations contain the personal truth and stamp of the artist, showcasing the cult personality of their creator.
Christos Efstathiou – Style – Subject
Influenced by the geometry of the form of Giannis Moralis, he exposes a different, completely personal universe. With passion, sensitivity, and ingenuity, capturing the dominant trends of contemporary art with a surreal, direct, and penetrating look. Following his own artistic style, abstract and simple, in order to pass on his messages and thoughts. He composes with nostalgia a world that speaks directly to the soul of the viewer.
He is an artist of the younger generation who has already caused a sensation as well as the interest of the visual public with his art. His creativity and aesthetics have received remarkable reviews and publications in the foreign press.
Major projects
His works from the thematic units he worked on in different periods: “Age of Humans”, “Frequencies”, “Installation” and “Profiles” have been presented in solo and group exhibitions both in Greece (An-art, Neandros, etc.) and abroad (Denmark, Britain), with excellent response from the art-loving public. In Andros, his birthplace, a place he loves, he has a permanent exhibition. This year he has new projects, which he is presenting to the public for the first time. Finally, his works can be found at the Athens Concert Hall, at the Art Shop of the Goulandris Museum of Contemporary Art in Andros, at the Gallery of Michalarias Art in Kifissia, and in private collections.
