On the way to Chalkolimiona, under Stavropeda, on the left, the dirt road leads to a “deep” embrace of the sea, the beach of Apothikes.
The beach Chalkolimionas is located almost in the center of the western coastline of Andros, about 24 kilometers from the port of Gavrio and 12 kilometers from Chora.
Just a short distance from Chora but only visible to the “initiates” there is a small “mysterious” and hardly accessible sand beach, Lydia Beach. Its secret lies in the morphology of the soil but also in the absence of easy land access to it.
Batsi by Night An immense golden sandy beach, ideal for children and for families. It is wind-protected as well as organized and exquisitely charming. Because of it is huge length, it does not get crowded. The young children can enjoy their swimming as the sea is not deep. The view of the houses in the traditional settlement is charming. It has boats of all sizes, jet ski, water sports, music of the season… and plenty of choices. It is no coincidence that everything started from Batsi. The beach is also perfect for swimming at night. Batsi by Night is perhaps the most charming thing the island has to show. Night in the water, with lights all around.
Beaches with sand and pebbles, good for fishing. It is at the northernmost point, just “up” in Cavonoro and has many winds. The road from Ano and Kato Fellos to Chartes a dirt road leads to the beaches, as well as to Kalivari.
The route from Gavrio to the Vitali’s beach, is one of the most beautiful of the island and is about 15 km long. The beach has large pebbles and the sea has small oblong stones.

Paraporti Beach is located on the right side of Chora the Capital of Andros. It is a long beach with lots of sand and trees that offer shadow. The chapel of Agios Ermolaos is right on the rocks and above this, the heliport of Andros.
Shortly after Empros Gialia on your way to Stenies, the steps towards the chapel of Aghia Fotini lead to Piso Gialia beach.
Piso Gialia, Andros
North beach with sand and a big a rock separates it in two. It’s good for fishing. You can go there by a dirt road from Mermigies and it has North winds.
It is a great beautiful beach, above Gavrio and after Baridi. NE of the island. The sand is golden, the waters are crystal clear. The rocks offer shade to a few lucky ones.
Fine pebbles, sea caves and isolation. A seductive deserted beach with fine pebbles. The road leading to the Kremmides is a bad one. If you have a boat, discover the sea caves on the path from Gialos.
It is a small pebble beach, under the chapel of Agios Kypianos and with beautiful rocks for sunbathing, instead of trees which offer shade.
Agios Kyprianos, Andros
Ateni Beach is located in the northeastern part of Andros, 12 km from Batsi. Its main feature is the shallow clear waters and the sandy surface.
Beach Fellos is a long sandy beach in north-west Andros just four kilometers from the port of Gavrio. The asphalt road reaches the sea making the beach Fellos ideal for swimming or playing with sandy beach and relaxation under the typical tamarix.
A small beach – Bay at the end of the street, overlooking the Gyalos beneath the chapel of Agia Catherine. It gathers a lot of tourists and there is a tavern among the flowers and trees.
Huge and organized, it is the biggest beach on the island. Even in the days of August it is half empty. It is lonely and cosmic at the same time. It is deserted and other times full of people.
Agios Petros, Andros

A few kilometers north of Gavrio and close to the most famous Beach Fellos we find an other large, isolated and beautiful sand beach, the Pisolimnionas Beach.
On the west coast of Andros, moving to the south, you will find a small, sandy beach with fine pebbles and trees, the Plaka Beach.
Next to the cosmopolitan Batsi, but in a quiet secluded location is the small Steviari Beach. The combination of rock and sand, as well as the unparalleled natural beauty of the surrounding area, make the visitor to visit Andros to enjoy it.
Beach Stivari, Andros
One of the most characteristic beaches of Andros. The Beach tis Grias to Pidima gathers the interest not only for its unique beauty, but also for the myth that it gave its name.
In the west part of Andros, between the port of Gavrio and the cosmopolitan Batsi, we find one of the most beautiful and popular beaches of the island, Chrysi Ammos beach. It is one of the first organized beaches of Andros, attracting dozens of tourists on a daily basis. The distinctive golden color with the fine powdery sand that gave its name to the beach, in combination with the magnificent blue-green waters, this beach has an unprecedented glamor.
The northwest coast of Andros hides some of the island’s most beautiful virgin beaches. Although inaccessible the Beach Tower will reward you with its cool waters. Besides, the tower on its northwest edge – which gave its name to the coast – has great tourist and historical interest.
A favorite destination for the locals and the visitors, Syneti Beach is located on the eastern coast of Andros, about 7 kilometers from the capital of Chora just below the homonymous village.
